It was a frantic Monday morning in 2019. N rushed into a crowded local café, grabbed a flat white from the pick-up counter, and sprinted out the door to catch a train.
There was only one problem: it wasn’t N’s order. It was L’s.
By the time L realized the mistake, N was long gone. They didn’t even see each other’s faces—just a fleeting blur and a name hastily scribbled on a paper cup.
Did they meet then? Not quite. Sometimes, the universe just likes to leave a little breadcrumb for later.
Chapter 02: The Confession
Two years later, a mutual friend organized a weekend group getaway. N and L were both invited. While sitting around a bonfire, they started swapping stories about living in the same neighborhood.
L jokingly complained about “the great coffee heist of 2019,” describing the exact café and the exact day someone vanished with their morning brew.
N froze, laughing nervously before making a full confession. The culprit was finally caught. What started as a hilarious icebreaker turned into hours of effortless conversation that lasted until the sun came up.
Chapter 03: The Open Road
Their first official date wasn’t at a glamorous rooftop bar or an upscale restaurant. It was an impromptu weekend drive with no destination in mind—just the windows down, their favorite playlist on a loop, and a shared love for the countryside.
That deep appreciation for open spaces, rustic charm, and endless horizons became the very foundation of their relationship.
